After fire, Norwood awaits new supermarket

THE BRONX - Three months after a massive fire destroyed a Norwood supermarket, residents say they still don't have a place to shop for groceries.

The raging fire in December gutted the Foodtown on 204th Street. The site is still strewn with trash and debris and the smell of rotten food fills the air.

The supermarket's owner, Daniel Katz, says he hasn't been allowed to touch anything at the site until the city approves a permit for cleanup.
