THE BRONX - An after-school aide is behind bars after investigators say he sexually abused three minors in the Bronx.
Steven Walters, 21, allegedly assaulted two 8-year-olds and a 7-year-old at P.S. 300 on Prospect Avenue. Police asked New York City Schools Chancellor Carmen Farina that Walters will no longer be allowed to teach.
Good Shepherd Services, whom Walters was employed by, released a statement saying, "The safety of our students is at all times the most paramount concern of Good Shepherd Services. This former employee was immediately suspended when we learned of these extremely serious allegations. We have, and will continue, to cooperate with the authorities to the fullest extent, and will continue to take all steps necessary to foster the safety and security of our students."
