THE BRONX - A family is in mourning today after their son, an Air Force veteran from Florida, was killed in gun violence early this morning.

Police say 21-year-old Fabian Gonzalez was walking with his cousin at around 2:30 a.m. when he was shot and killed by 18-year-old Jordan Agosto.

Investigators say Agosto opened fire on their pair because Agosto had previously been in an altercation with a friend of Gonzalez's cousin and Agosto wanted to settle the score.

Gonzalez's family says he had only been in The Bronx for a day and was in New York to attend a baptism.

Agosto is charged with murder and manslaughter, according to police.
