A Bronx native turned his dreams of becoming a cowboy into reality by becoming a rodeo performer, with skills he learned here in the Bronx.

THE BRONX - A Bronx native turned his dreams of becoming a cowboy into reality by becoming a rodeo performer, with skills he learned here in the Bronx.

AJ Silver, of Wakefield, says he was 10 years old when he first attended a rodeo at Madison Square Garden. He then got his start training at the Bronx Equestrian Center in Pelham Bay Park.

Silver has toured with the national rodeo circuit and has also performed around the world. He can be seen in the Bello Mania show at the New Victory Theater in Manhattan through April 20.
