AmPark Neighborhood students evacuated due to gas leak

THE BRONX - Students at AmPark Neighborhood School were evacuated this morning following a nearby gas leak.

A spokesperson from Con Edison says the evacuation was a precaution after someone reported a gas odor. The kids were transferred to P.S. 95 next door where parents were able to pick them up.

The FDNY officially suspended the evacuation, but the school remained closed for the day as crews investigated the leak.
