THE BRONX - One resident is recalling his terrifying ordeal after helping a hit-and-run victim.

The incident occurred on East 138th Street in Hunts Point last Sunday at around 4:30 p.m. Limousine driver Angel Ruiz says the victim was hit from behind by a gang of men riding motorcycles and ATVs.

Ruiz says that while he was trying to help the severely injured victim, the group of 20-30 riders surrounded and started threatening him. He says they took off when they heard police sirens.

The victim who was struck suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Ruiz says gangs of young riders are terrorizing the community and hopes one of the nearby businesses captured the incident on camera.
