THE BRONX - Hundreds of creatures are being shipped out of the Bronx Zoo due to the recession.

Night monkeys, bats, antelope and several other species from the zoo are being shipped off to other zoos. Bronx Zoo officials say they're also closing four exhibits to close a $15 million budget gap.

The 114-year-old institution is the largest city zoo in the U.S. More than 2 million people visited last year.
