THE BRONX - A fiery meeting in City Island had several Bronx voters asking Anthony Weiner to bow out of the mayoral race.

The former congressman spoke before the City Island Civic Association Tuesday, telling the crowd that he dishonored himself and his wife, and telling voters that they have a right not to back him.

However, he released a new video defying those who want him to step down. In the taping, he says in part, "Quit isn't the way we roll in New York City. We fight through tough things. We are a tough city."

The politician added that he's determined to leave the decision up to voters in September, despite plunging poll numbers, increased demand for his resignation and being left by his campaign manager over the weekend.

Weiner was at one point the Democratic leader, but recent numbers show he's now in fourth place in light of his most recent sexting scandal and the admission that his lewd online behavior continued after his 2011 resignation from Congress.
