THE BRONX - A family at the Sonya Sotomayor Houses is living among feces.

The Rodriguez family says water contaminated with human waste began leaking from their toilet two weeks ago. The New York City Housing Authority sent someone over to check out the issue and cleaned it up.

The family says that it happened again this Wednesday and Thursday. They claim the issue is not that the toilet is clogged.

NYCHA emergency crews were working in the basement Thursday night, which is likely where the issue is coming from.

The Rodriguezs say this problem needs to get resolved as soon as possible, specifically because they have kids in the apartment.

For two straight days they have been going to a neighbor's apartment in order to use the toilet and take a shower.
