Archbishop Dolan blesses Bronx library

THE BRONX - Archbishop Timothy Dolan is heading to the Vatican, but he first made a special blessing in the borough.

The library at the Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education received a prayer from Dolan, who also took a look at all the books students have donated.

Casita Maria Chairman Jackie Weld Drake said that support from the church has allowed the center to become a force of good in the South Bronx.

Dolan will officially be appointed cardinal on Feb. 18.
