THE BRONX - With one in every 68 kids being diagnosed with autism, the effort to spread awareness of the developmental disorder is growing, including in the South Bronx.

Each piece of artwork hanging on the walls at last Sunday's packed art gallery event will go up for auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Autism Speaks foundation and the Parents of Autistic Children nonprofit.
