THE BRONX - Bronx seniors showed off their creative talents this afternoon at an art show.

The show was held at JASA Van Cortlandt Senior Center on Sedgwick Avenue.

It featured landscapes, portraits, still lifes and abstract works.

Local artist and art teacher Michael Ferris Jr. says he encouraged the seniors to delve into their memories when creating their pieces.

Ferris works with the seniors at JASA Van Cortlandt Senior Center for five months out of the year as part of the city’s Social, Recreation and Therapeutic Services (SPARC) program that pairs artists with senior centers.
