Artists create monumental metal sculptures

THE BRONX - A group of artists are working together to create monumental metal sculptures.

The Arts Student League of New York joined forces with the city's Parks Department to select four artists to display their crafts in public parks.

The artists have been welding, hammering and sculpting in Gowanus since September.

The sculptures will be on display for 11 months in Van Cortlandt Park, as well as Riverside Park South in Manhattan.
