THE BRONX - NYC school officials say the Bronx High School of Science athletic director and two track coaches have been suspended from coaching amid an investigation into a hazing incident.

The athletic director and the track coaches will retain their teaching positions.

According to the Bronx District Attorney's Office, 16-year-old's Thomas Brady and Boubacar Diallo and 17-year-old Pier Berkmans were arrested and charged last week with forcible touching, assault, hazing in the second degree and harassment. All three students attend Bronx High School of Science.

Court documents allege that the suspects harassed a freshman and fellow track team member at the school between Dec. 29 and Feb. 25. During one of the incidents, Brady and Berkmans allegedly told the victim that he was going to be raped.

The Department of Eduction (DOE) has acknowledged the incident and says it is still under investigation.

"Hazing is wrong, hazing should not take place," said Department of Education Chancellor Dennis Walcott. "The culture of hazing needs to be eliminated altogether, and we can't tolerate that in our school system, but hazing shouldn't be tolerated period."

The school principal sent home a letter to parents about the allegations this past Friday.

All three teenagers were released after their arraignment and are due back in court on Friday.
