THE BRONX - It's back-to-school time for thousands of students across the city.
Valentine Avenue was flooded with parents and kids marching toward their classrooms with new clothes, stuffed backpacks and a few first-day jitters.
Some students were more excited than others to hit the books again, and many parents said they were more nervous than their children.

A long line of backpacks was also seen outside the Theodore Roosevelt Educational Campus on Fordham Road, which was being used as a last-minute registration center.
