THE BRONX - The bail has been raised for a former Bronx teacher accused of raping a 10-year-old student.
Anthony Criscuolo was back in court where the bail went up from $750,000 to $2 million. An order of protection was also issued against him.
The 40-year-old, who worked at P.S. 386, is charged with two counts of rape, attempted rape, predatory sexual assault against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

Criscuolo had been an educator in the Bronx dating back to February 2002, when he was a substitute special education teacher at P.S. 178, according to his service history. He received a full-time position at P.S. 178 during the 2003 school year and transferred in 2010 to P.S. 498. He then began his tenure at P.S. 386 at the beginning of the 2011 school year.
