THE BRONX - The 319 U.S. Statue of Liberty Band honored the U.S. military on Friday ahead of Independence Day.

The band says there were countless hours of rehearsal that went into their performance. 

The performance was especially unique because the band played music from different eras when the U.S. was at war. 

The band played about two dozen songs and invited local veterans to the tribute
