MELROSE - British graffiti artist Banksy is creating buzz throughout New York City, including in the Bronx, where a recent piece caused some controversy.

In Melrose, a piece featuring the phrase "Ghetto 4 Life" was condemned by Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., who says he didn't like the use of the word "ghetto." Other residents say they found the phrase harmless, alluding to a larger message in the work.

The business owner on East 153rd Street, where the art popped up this week, has a gate and security guard protecting the art at night.
