THE BRONX - Some Baychester residents are desperately looking for help with a major pothole problem.

Neighbors say the pothole on Ely Avenue has been a cause for concern for four years. They say it gets worse in the winter with snow and rain.

Drivers say trying to make it down the block is like an obstacle course. Others are too scared to drive through and end up turning around.

News 12 The Bronx reached out to the Department of Transportation, and it is looking into the issue. News 12 also reached out to the Department of Environmental Protection, which said there were no reports of any problems with water or sewer services.

The DEP says it will send crews to check out the location.
