Bedbug fears at Bronx school have parents worried

THE BRONX - Parents say they are worried as an unidentified bug closely resembling a bedbug was found on a student?s backpack at P.S. 71.

School officials say they have bagged the bug and sent it to the Department of Education for an investigation. Parents also received a letter warning them of the incident. Students are now taking precautions by bagging their school books in plastic.

Parents say they are glad the principal took proactive measures. However, many say they won?t rest easily until the bug is identified.
