Beloved Bronx cafe owner remembered

THE BRONX - Pete Nikolopoulos, owner of neighborhood hallmark Pete's Cafe, passed away two weeks ago from a heart attack and locals still remember the man with affection.

The business owner emigrated from Greece and began working as a dish washer. He later opened the restaurant that has become a favorite of Belmont and Fordham residents.

The restaurant will continue to remain open. It will be operated by Nikolopoulos' wife and three children.
