HIGHBRIDGE - A Highbridge teen is a first place winner in a youth film competition for his short film on censorship.

Ani Akpan's 3-minute film, "Future Warefare Three," won first place in the National Coalition Against Censorship's contest. An avid gamer, Akpan chose to focus on video game censorship in his film.

The high school senior and aspiring director believes the gaming industry shouldn't censor games for the public, saying it's up to the user to decide what's right and wrong

As winner of the contest, Akpan receives a $5,000 scholarship and a free one-week filmmaking course at the New York Film Academy.
