THE BRONX - Two Bronx high school students have received the prestigious Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation scholarship for college.

Selena Cardona and Christian Carrion are students at the Foreign Language Academy of Global Studies (FLAG) in the South Bronx.

Each student will receive a full-ride scholarship to the college of their choice, as well as money for transportation and books.

Carrion will be attending the University of Southern California, with plans to study business and political science.

Cardona will be attending Cornell University in the fall, majoring in political science and communications.
