THE BRONX - A Bronx nonprofit is offering Saturday morning classes to low-income teens who want to pursue art.

Started in 2006, the Fred Dolan Arts Academy has grown from just six students to 45. From September to June, they borrow classrooms at P.S. 45 and work on pieces while receiving one-on-one help from teachers.

Twenty-three of the students have gone on to study art in college, including 14 who earned full-ride scholarships.
