THE BRONX - A theater group in the South Bronx is giving young people a chance to showcase their talents and express themselves.

Members of the Open Hydrant Theater Company in Hunts Point say their mission is to empower a diverse group of artists, particularly those would normally not have the opportunity to act.

Tiffany McLarty is a product of the theater, and received a full scholarship to Western Kentucky University for her performance work.

The theater hopes to go beyond the stage in the near future by opening a film division and talent agency.
