THE BRONX - P.S. 55 is hosting its third annual I Am a Person Week that carries an anti-bullying message.

The program teaches students about embracing compassion and kindness.

Principal Luis Torres says he and other faculty members aim to prepare the children for life's challenges so they'll be able to succeed.

This year's program had a special guest who came to the visit the school. Sonia Manzano, better known as Maria on "Sesame Street," stopped by to talk to students about having confidence.
