THE BRONX - The Wave Hill House in Riverdale is ready for visitors again after undergoing a major $10 million renovation.

Thousands of people use the home each year for weddings, concerts and school trips. It was built in 1843 and overlooks the Hudson River.

The improvements were made possible by funding from a combination of city, corporate and private donors. It was used to revamp the interior, and open up a new café, children's theater and art room.

A grand opening for the public will be held on July 6 with a full day of family-friendly events.
