Bicyclist struck, killed at 3rd Avenue, Saint Paul’s Place in Claremont

A bicyclist is dead after colliding with a car in Claremont. It happened at 3rd Avenue and Saint Paul's Place at around 6:30 a.m.

THE BRONX - A bicyclist is dead after colliding with a car in Claremont.

It happened at 3rd Avenue and Saint Paul's Place at around 6:30 a.m.

According to a witness, a black male was approaching the intersection on his bike when he was struck by a white Toyota Corolla. The witness says the cyclist went through a red light.

The woman behind the wheel of the car remained on the scene with a shattered windshield.

The victim’s name has not yet been released. Police say no charges will be filed against the woman who hit him.
