THE BRONX - A firefighter who battled the deadly "Black Sunday" fire in 2005 was found dead in his home yesterday.

Lt. Joseph DiBernardo was badly injured after jumping from a burning Bronx apartment that was illegally partitioned.

News 12 The Bronx spoke with DiBernardo a few years ago at a memorial service for two of his fellow firefighters who died in the fire.

There's no word yet on the cause of his death.
