Blizzard creates dangerous road conditions in The Bronx

THE BRONX - A blizzard that is expected to leave more than a foot of snow in the borough is causing havoc on roadways across the Bronx. In Soundview, many cars were getting stuck due to the significant amount of snow on the ground. Residents could be seen trying to help the stranded motorists. Motorsits have been urged to avoid driving unless absolutely necessary due to the slick road conditions and low visibility. Those who must drive are advised to keep a safe distance from snowplows and ensure that they have a clear vision ahead before trying to pass a plow. Emergency officials say drivers should never assume that they are seen by a plow driver.
