THE BRONX - Mayor Michael Bloomberg and School Chancellor Dennis Walcott were in The Bronx today to launch a new software development contest.

The Gap App Challenge invites developers to submit design applications for programs aimed at helping middle school students excel in math.

Bloomberg and Walcott made the announcement from the East Bronx Academy for the Future.
