THE BRONX - The Board of Elections has decided to spend $2.25 million on a campaign to educate voters about the new electronic voting system before Election Day. On Primary Day last month, officials received reports that machines failed to work, confused poll workers and compromised voter privacy. The City Council also said the machines are unfit for Election Day. The campaign will teach voters about the new system and also get feedback about the machines. It will continue until the general election on Nov. 2.
The last day to register to vote is this Friday, Oct. 8.
