Body found in Bronx River identified as Williamsbridge mom

THE BRONX - Police say they have identified the body of a woman floating in the Bronx River Saturday as Tasheba Brooks.

The medical examiner ruled her death as a homicide due to multiple blunt-force trauma to the head. Authorities say Brooks, 37, lived in Willaimsbridge with her boyfriend. Police say he is not a suspect in her death at this time.

Neighbors say Brooks had several children who were in someone else's care. No arrests have been made in the case.
