Body of Westchester woman found in Bronx

SCARSDALE - (AP)- Police say the body of a Scarsdale doctorhas been found by divers in waters off the Bronx.

They say the cause of death has not been determined.

The doctor, 55-year-old Mona Shimshi, was reportedmissing on Sunday. Her 2008 Honda was found Tuesday in a remotewooded area on the edge of Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx.

Scarsdale Detective Lt. Bryant Clark said Wednesday thatShimshi's body was found by New York Police Department divers inEastchester Bay not far from where her car was spotted.

The NYPD said the city medical examiner would determine thecause of death.

Shimshi's husband told police Sunday that she had not returnedfrom running errands that afternoon.

Shimshi was an endocrinologist at Bridgeport Hospital inConnecticut.
