Borough tries to help prevent foreclosures

THE BRONX - The Parodneck Foundation and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz have teamed up to help families who are at risk of losing their homes.

Starting today, Bronx residents can go to the Bronx County building for help handling the foreclosure process on their homes. Those looking to receive help must make an appointment by calling 718-590-3554.

A study released by the city's comptroller showed that five of the city's 10 neighborhoods with the highest foreclosure rates are located in The Bronx.
