A boy is recovering after being pulled from the Bronx River. Officials say the incident occurred at around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

THE BRONX - A boy is recovering after being pulled from the Bronx River.

Officials say the incident occurred at around 7 p.m. Wednesday. They say the boy jumped into the water near Bronx Park East, but could not swim well.

The boy was quickly pulled from the water and taken to the hospital.

There is no swimming allowed in the Bronx River, according to officials.
