A 7-year-old boy is in stable condition after police say he was hit by an SUV in Williamsbridge. The accident happened yesterday on East Gun

WILLIAMSBRIDGE - A 7-year-old boy is now in stable condition after police say he was hit by an SUV in Williamsbridge.

The accident happened yesterday on East Gun Hill Road and Decatur Avenue. Witnesses say the boy got out of a white van that was double parked and when trying to cross the street, was struck by a Honda Odyssey.

The boy was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he's been hospitalized in stable condition. The driver stayed on the scene and has not been charged.
