Brand-new computers stolen from BX elementary school

WILLIAMSBRIDGE - Five brand-new Apple MacBook Pro computers were stolen from the City of Faith Christian Academy on White Plains Road today. Cops say the burglars ransacked the school early Monday morning, kicking in doors, destroying classrooms and rifling through desks. The only part of the computers left behind was one ruined 20-inch monitor.

School officials believe the suspects had a difficult time entering the school, having to climb over a 20-foot gate and crawl through a small air conditioning duct. The school also plans on investing in surveillance cameras to ensure the school stays safe in the future.

Police spent the afternoon at the school collecting evidence and dusting for fingerprints, in order to track the suspects.

The machines were donated to the elementary school less than three weeks ago.
