Breast cancer survivors share personal stories in play at Pregones Theater

THE BRONX - Breast cancer survivors used their personal stories as inspiration for a play in the Bronx.

The performances were held at the Pregones Theater on Walton Avenue over the weekend.

Playwright Bridgette Wimberly organized the event and says she was inspired by her sister, who is a breast cancer survivor, to let the voices of other survivors be heard through the power of stage.

It was the fifth straight year the event was held in the borough.
