Broken boiler leaves hundreds of seniors without heat in Bronxdale

Residents at the Boston Road Plaza senior living center are angry at the city over the lack of heat and hot water in the building

BRONXDALE - Residents at the Boston Road Plaza senior living center are angry at the city over the lack of heat and hot water in the building overnight.

The residents say the New York City Housing Authority is responsible for the upkeep of the building and they are failing to do so.

The housing authority says they have fixed the boiler, restoring heat and hot water, but residents say that the authority has ignored many complaints about leaks and mold in their apartments.
