Bronx 9/11 victims remembered in annual ceremony

THE BRONX - A ceremony honoring the 144 Bronx residents killed in the Sept. 11 terrorists attacks was held this afternoon.

Victims' family members and friends came together for the yearly ceremony held at Lou Gehrig Plaza. The ceremony featured musical reflections, including a drum and bagpipe procession, and the Highbridge Voices choral ensemble.

Borough President Ruben, Diaz Jr. (D-The Bronx) was among the featured speakers. At the conclusion of the ceremony, 40 doves were released.
