THE BRONX - Family and friends are praying for a swift recovery after a rising Bronx boxer was seriously injured in a multi-car accident on the Cross Bronx Expressway yesterday morning.

Pedro Luis Sosa, 19, was driving his sister and friends when the accident occurred. His sister, Jennifer, 20, was killed in the crash.

Sosa, who is originally from the Dominican Republic, has been training since he was 7 years old and has never lost a fight.

Sosa was about to sign a professional contract before the accident. His family says it hopes his strength will allow him to pull through and get back into the ring.
