THE BRONX - Police say a Bronx boy drowned this past weekend in Connecticut. 

Authorities responded to a report of an unconscious child in the Burr Pond State Park swimming area in the city of Torrington.

Officials say the 4-year-old was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  

The name of the child has not yet been released.
