Bronx business makes effort to 'go green'

HUNTS POINT - A Bronx-based seafood retailer recently purchased an all-electric delivery truck in an effort to make his business more environmentally friendly.

The business owner says he purchased the truck for $214,000. He also says the truck produces zero emissions and can go up to 150 miles before being recharged.

Some Hunts Point residents say "green" trucks are an improvement for their neighborhood's air quality and that it is something all delivery companies should invest in.

The owner says he hopes to have another all-electric truck added to his 15-truck fleet by this time next year.
