Bronx celebrates immigrants with multicultural festival

THE BRONX - The Knightsbridge Heights Community Center in the Bronx celebrated immigrants Saturday with its multicultural festival.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg (R-NYC) says, ?New York owes it greatness to the generations of people who immigrated here from around the world.? New York City is celebrating the experiences and contributions of immigrants with its Immigrant History Week.

At the multicultural festival in the Bronx music, food and art was highlighted from all different cultures. One staff member says he hopes residents, especially kids, will come and learn more about the different cultures that are right in their own backyard.
