Bronx cemetery workers rally to keep their jobs

WOODLAWN - Workers at the Woodlawn Cemetery held a rally today to keep their jobs and protest money-saving measures being considered by management.

For months, the cemetery's workers have been protesting cost-cutting measures they believe are a threat to their jobs. The cemetery's executive board has considered laying off workers and replacing them with labor from overseas. The workers say the constant battle for their jobs is a tough one.

Negotiations between cemetery management and the worker's union are set to continue tomorrow.
