THE BRONX - Demolition is set to begin today on a Bronx church that was destroyed by a massive four-alarm fire over the weekend.

Pastor Udechi Chukwuat, of the Full Life Assembly Church on Van Nest Avenue, says he can't afford the demolition, but was told by the city that he doesn't have a choice.

Parishioners say they're devastated the church is being torn down and hope the local religious community will provide them with a temporary place of worship.
