THE BRONX - Bronx residents spent the day digging themselves out after Saturday's storm dumped several inches of snow on the borough.

Bedford Park received more than 7 inches of snow. Other areas of the city, like Central Park, saw 5 inches.

Most roads throughout the borough had been plowed by early Sunday morning.

On Dewey Avenue in Throggs Neck, police sectioned off parts of the sidewalk to prevent people from walking under a leaning lamp post that was bent due to the storm.

Throggs Neck residents and business owners spent the morning clearing snow and slush from the sidewalks and putting down salt to melt ice.
