THE BRONX - Thousands of people lined the streets for the 36th annual Bronx Columbus Day Parade over the weekend.

About 16 marching bands and dozens of floats made their way down Morris Park Avenue to celebrate Italian culture and pride.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg, state Comptroller John Liu and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn all turned out for the event.
