THE BRONX - One Bronx charter school has put a new twist on the traditional grand opening, transforming classrooms into exhibits for a few hours.

With full-on model displays, third through fifth-grade building experts at Bronx Community Charter School took visitors on a unique "museum" tour.

The visuals are part of a six-week study for the students to show their guests the particulars of the building, from top to bottom.

Teachers say the method behind the models is to make the students' dreams a reality by giving them the tools other schools may not provide.

Directors say now that they are fully settled into their new classrooms they are looking forward to continuing their hands-on approach with the students.
